after this hand the guy criticized me for "chasing runners". i felt pretty justified calling down against his jack high, especially since he didnt complete on 3rd, indicating high cards in the hole. comments?

| Id say you absouletly made the right call. If he had completed on 3rd then I may not have played this hand the same, but if he only brings in then I make the same call. |

The only place I would have played it differently is 5th street.
I probably would have tossed the hand away there on 5th street. Calling there is usually marginal -- not a BAD play really, but if I call there, I figure I'm pretty much committed to call him all the way down unless he catches good on 6th street and I brick.
Once you've made that 5th street call, the rest of the hand pretty much plays itself. Easy pot odds to call on 6th street, then value bet on the end.
I wouldn't read too much into his limping on 3rd street. I see plenty of players at these 0.25/0.50 stakes who seem genuinely incapable of raising with a 7 door card if an Ace is still to act behind them. I've seen limp-calls from players with hands like (3-4)-6. Frankly, on 5th street, he could have a hand like (3-5)-7-4-J and it wouldn't surprise me one bit. |

| i owuld of done the same thing because the chance of his first he cards being under 7 with no complete preflop is unlikely. |
