if your assured the low, there is absolutely no reason to not be betting in this situation. with two players going for the high, you want to extract the maximum value that you can out of your low, and this means raising and re-raising. there is also a chance that you can catch a high hand on 7th, which also provides good reason for you to be betting and raising.
also you'll find that playing against 1 opponent, betting the low is also a good idea as sometimes you may be able to push your opponent off his high hand. so say for example you have a hand with a board of A245 and your opponent is obviously going high with a board of 995K. right here would be a great spot to keep pushing the action.
you want to keep betting with your made hands, especially against multiple opponents who are going opposite directions. your example of hands is kind of vague so there are situations in which you should slow down with your betting, but as a generalization, you should keep betting to maximize the value out of your hands. |
