Welcome to the forum, 2pacobeer.
I think in Maryland it's illegal, but in the rest of the country it's legal.
If you're referring to the recently passed legislation, it doesn't make online poker illegal for anyone. It's mainly just makes it harder for you to deposit money.
Millions of people still play online poker in the US. So it must be legal.

Check out MyCitadelwallet.
I understand the fees are less than Neteller.
They've also announced a commitment to stand by US players (At this point).
NT is going to wait and see what the penalties will be when they get hashed out in the next 8 months.

Make a netteller account and then use the "Make a Deposit" option from the Cashier. The money was there for me in about 10 seconds and no fees.
Don't transfer the money into NetTeller first, let them take it from your checking account. |

Nothing else has worked, so I think I'll try that next.

Do you know something that I don't BNS?!? I know that NetTeller does not do business in Maryland, but I don't know why. I just use Epassporte.
There was a poker club raid near Baltimore not too long ago (right before the WSOP), but all charges were dropped against the players. I don't know what happened to the owners/organizers.
I've also never heard of anyone being prosecuted in Maryland for playing online. |

I won't even go into how I can LEGALLY gamble on (1) horses - both thoroughbred and harness, (2) charity-sponsored bingo, (3) charity-sponsored "Big 6" wheels, and (4) the countless Maryland lottery games. God forbid that I may play poker for ...(gasp).... MONEY! |
