| Never played stud, any version. If your getting 7 cards and they have 8 players at a table, don't you run out of cards? Am I missing something or just an idiot? I was watching trying to figure out how to play. Game moves quick when your clueless. |

I believe if that ever happens, that there is one last card that is used by all the players as a community card. I personnaly have never seen it happen live or online but I am sure that it does occasionally.
As for reading material on Stud hi lo, I think a good starting point is Todd Bronson's section in the book "Super System II", or usually referred to as SS2 by a lot in various forums. SS2 also has a very good section on Omaha Hi Lo which you will love if you like Stud Hi lo. Soon as you get an understanding of the game try playing it live if you can find it. Loads of fun. |

| yep there is a community card dealt as 7th street, should they run out of cards to deal to the remaining players. it has happened to me before in a card club, and they shuffle the remaining unseen cards, including burned cards and turn up a community card. |

Not a stud (player) but I wasn't aware of burn cards. |

| yea i wasn't aware of it either, until i started playing some stud live. they do burn cards in stud. its basically the same concept as why they burn cards in hold'em, to prevent any sort of cheating. also its rare that the table ever does get down to the point where a community card is needed, but i have been in a few. |
