| I picked the last answer because I can't count the number of times I've gone all in only to be called by junk. It's like a race to throw nicks and dimes away. |

| I always raise somewhere between .25 and .50 at a .10 bb table so I say 3 to 5 bb depending on how many limpers you have, how good your hand is, and your position. |

| I don't really think there is a simple answer to this questions. Why do you want no callers? Are you on a bluff? Can you not play post flop? What position are you in? How much is already in the pot? There are way too many variables here to get a decent answer. |

| my raise is usually .35 or .40 at a .05/.10 table. it's usually enough to drive out all but 1 or 2 people. if the table seems looser or there's already lots of people in the pot then yes you will need to raise more. |

| I usually raise 2.5 bb. I like to see flops so it saves me .5 to 1 bb each time I raise. |

How is it possible to answer a poll question like that??
The amount you raise preflop (at any level) depends on so many factors, it should never be the same amount all the time?
I might raise 4-5x the BB in 1st or 2nd position if I dont want alot of callers, but with the exact same hand on the button, I might only minimum raise, or even flat call.
Knowing the players your playing against, if you know some 1 is probably going to re-raise your raise (very aggressive nutter) you might want to make a 3xBB raise then re-raise their re-raise all in etc.
Impossible to answer this poll. |

| Yeah, it all depends. Usually though, it's the pot. |

I tend to do the opposite here. Since an early position raise shows strength, a small raise will usually do the trick. In late position, a smaller raise will give all the limpers good odds to call with about anything. I usually like to bet around the size of the pot preflop on the button to find out where I am at and either win the pot right there or get it down to heads up. |

but the problem is, we're talking about micros, and a lot of micro players don't undertstand the importance of position or trying to read other people's hands. |
