what do you feel about pokersoftware?

software that gives advice...WHILE you play...???

i've seen examples on software where you can adjust the "thinkin" time for the software(for older or newer pc's)...then its not just the software's poker abilities that count..but also the pover of your pc.

then we will end up with poker games on the net where its the value of software AND the pover of your pc that counts?

i know that the software isnt flawless..but its the princible.
and at some time in near? future the pc's will play as good as any human.

i know there is alot more to poker than math and odds.
we accept that other might be smarter than us.
but gettin beaten by some dumb*** with a great pc...?

maybe i'm being to pessimistic.....

so?....wadda y'all think?

I don't agree, most winning players that I know are a mix of HUDless and those who use software like pokertracker which doesn't think for you but keeps track of a limited number of tendancies of your opponents. In fact, the biggest winning player that I personally know used to use the HUD but doesn't anymore and now he has an operating bankroll of ~180,000.00. It doesn't tell you much more than you already know and can actually be a hassle or harmful if the wrong conclusions are made from the software. This stems back to a debate on whether you can make a program that will play poker humanfree and so far I've seen no program that can do it and win sucessfully where the stakes matter. Hope this helps
