Wow, I would have thought it would be the other way around.

Yeah this has been in the making for some time. I noticed at one point a couple months ago I had customer support issues at both sites and it was resolved by the same support manager "Emma". That's when I looked on 2+2 and found more info on Excapa (sp?) and the merger.

Is one of the sites closing and moving their player base to the other site?

Which software will they use?

As far as I've heard both sites will remain the same, which is great because AP does not discount your rakeback for bonuses and points spent like some sites (cough cough). I thought I heard something weird like you might eventually be able to have player base from both sites merged somehow but the software kept different, I couldn't get my mind around what the hell they were talking about though.

If they were to try something like that, they'd probably put everyone from both sites into one server to so they'd just have one huge player base. Then people from both sites could see/interact/play with anyone else from either site, regardless of which software they currently use. You'd just have to think about it as the concept of skinning taken to a great extreme.

They'd have to match the functionality on both sites to do that, which might be difficult. They could share a single user base though and you would be able to login to one or the other using the same credentials. Would be cool if your BR was available on both as well. I'd love to have one BR that I could use on multiple sites simultaneously...

thats what i couldn't understand because UB's tables are twice as fast as APs so it wouldn't work to simply be skinned in either of the programs, people at one table would have to be using the same skin (I think).
