Played live 3-6 O8 this late morning and finally got some hands I could call and get with a few examples, as accurate as my mind recalls them to be:
1. A2c 66- 6 in on the flop, it comes 567 rainbow,have lock low and a pair, not great but a start, Turn comes another 6(looking better) river came a T and I ended up getting just the low(someone made set of Ts) but it wasn't to shabby a low pot at this point with 6 in the hand. Good start for the session.(Amazed at how many will call you down with 3rd or 4th best low!)
2. BB-78xx-Flop comes 78x, turn blank, River an 8 giving me the boat, scooped this one but it wasn't that big. Not bad though.
3. One strange hand- A28x- Quartered for the low but my pair of 8's won the high! One never knows in this game but a lone pair to hold up is kind of rare.
4. Nutha strange one-A2s 9x-Flop came 789 with 2 of my suit(looking very good here) didn't hit my nut flush draw but I did get the low and tied for the high-2 pair of 9's & 2,s
5. Dumb one here-This should be a lesson to anyone-Always pay attention to the game-SB 23Qx with the Q suited-Fkopped a flush but only to my Q with no low out, Turn came another high card, no low possible now, checked to me on river, I bet, the guy next to me took a long time and I had thought that it was just heads up with him now, he called and I turned over my cards, but wait, there were still 3 others left to act!!! I felt so stupid and apologized several times. This is a first dumb lapse for me in poker. Most of them were cool about it. The other 3 folded when they saw my hand and I scooped the pot but my blunder cost me 3 BB's. Learn!
I ended up $45 for the short session. These were pretty much most of the hands I played for the 45 minutes or so not including some blind hands that were garbage. I really love it when a NLHE comes into the game. Easdy to spot by teh way the play their pairs etc.
Advice-Don't play garbage hands esp. low ones. |
