Hello,
I have been playing Omaha now for about 3 days. Never read anything but people play so poorly thought I better give it a try. What would your next move be and why?
Thank you

Try and push fairly hard. If you get A LOT of action, by that I mean reraises, then you might think about folding, but at these levels you are going to get called so often by people drawing to the low that the one or two times you actually run into a big hand make it worth it.
EDIT, I forgot you had A2 here as well, it that case there is no folding. If you get a ton of action, check-call, and fold the river if you don't hit a low (that is, if you aren't getting priced in).

My next move would be betting, or re-raising. You've hit #3 high hand on the flop, with 2 low cards which means most A2 and A3 hands will call anything off the flop. Since you're holding 2 5's it is unlikely that anyone else is holding 7 5, but it is possible. Don't worry about people folding out of this hand to aggressive pushing, because most average/new players to hi/lo will stay in this, even with 2 3 holdings sometimes.
Board pairs are attractive to KK QQ and AA hands as well so you want to be wary if you see a Q/K/A on the turn, but with only 3 players in past the flop with a low draw out there, there's no reason not to bet this out. |

| my goal in this spot would be to take it down on the flop. Bet or pot or check raise. if you get reraised after your checkraise go all in even if you suspect a 75 you have enough money in the pot to see this one through on the chance that your reraiser has a naked 7 or worse. even if you are behind for high youll get bailed out often enough and youll scoop a lot of pots off donkeys. If I dont take it down on the flop I pot again on the turn if I make a low and check if I miss. Consider folding this hand if the action gets heavy and you have little invested when this does not make a nut low. from late position I will play this hand much slower but that is a differrent story. |
