wondering if someone can give me advice on how to play in extremely loose games. right now i am in a .25/.50 limit game where there is often 7 or more to the flop, and often 4 or 5 even with a raised pot preflop. is there really anything you can do other than wait for the nuts? should you play lots of hands hoping to hit something and be paid well, or tighten up?
also is it really worth it to raise preflop? most of these people are calling me anyway.
unfortunately i am card dead.. i have won 3 pots in 63 hands, only 1 of them was big. i'm getting sucked out on left and right. |

| Don't get carried away with overpairs (one pair usually doesn't win), and play more drawing hands. You're always getting odds to chase in these games, and when they hit they usually win. |

| Play more drawing hands preflop like suited concectors etc. You can play small pairs too. It sounds like you may often be getting odds to flop a set. If you flop a flush draw or open ended straight draw against 4 or more opponents go ahead and bet it. You likely have the highest equity in the pot. Don't play one pair too aggressively. If many opponents are going to the river it likely won't be good. |

| You beat me to it UFO. I've posted that link in here a couple of times. GREAT article. I've played that way on a couple of occasions at had great success. People will **** and moan about it, but the play in general is so bad, it's well worth it. |

I even did it at the casino in a 5/10 LHE table, made like 120 bucks in 10 hands and I folded 60% of them |

| I just read that article. It is pretty right on as far as I'm concerned. Like Zophar implied, you may have a few problems with some of the advice but overall it is pretty sound, especially after play 2-4 live a bunch in the last few weeks. I may take an amount and try it out and see how it goes. Do any of you play exactly this way all the time? I figure that you still have to adjust to any game. |

| I agree w/ almost all of this article except for the big pkt pair w/ lots of players. Maybe I am wrong but if you still have a overpair to the board and the board is uncoordinated you cant fold your cards can you? I realize every table is different and you should have a idea of what kind of cards you opponents have shown down but folding a overpair to a uncoordinated board just doenst feel right. Maybe I am wrong and someone could show me my errors in thinking. |

| Yea, that was one of the things I thought was maybe a little strange but I can sort of see where he iscoming from as far as the big pairs go. He is lumping all the pairs into one category and didnt really consider things like backdoor draws etc. With a lot in any pot, for me those are things I consider and what the board is. I am def. going to set aside a chunk of change and just try it out and see what happens. I'll let you cats know what occurs. |

| thank you for posting that pocket fives article. Even after taking a beating, losing 11 premium hands in 30 minutes I still managed to break even at the 3/6 table yesterday. Thanks to some well time suited connector hands in 7 way pots. |

if the table is tight you have to try a different style, this works better with 4-8 people seeing the flop. |
