More play money/$5 SNG bad beats? Come on.
New rule - your bad beats must be for more than the cost of dinner at McDonalds for anyone to give a ****. |

Notice the title-
Mildly Annoyed.
Of course this isn't serious business. Now calm yourself, my Christian ears are on fire. |

| So why does this rise to the level of annoyance, even mild annoyance? I almost find it mildly humorous, but that's about it... |

That's well and truly a bad beat. Zuchov happens to be wrong on this (though he's right on play money bad beats). If you play stakes appropriate to your bankroll, and that happens to be low, well, it hurts just as much. Granted, shweta is playing way below his roll, so if he were **** about a 5.5 sng it'd be odd.
There was no point in which his bet or his call of your bet was the right decision, and it was rewarded anyway. Note his crappy play, look for him and play him frequently. Your play was probably not optimal, in that your inital raise preflop was too much. Ironic, isn't it? |

Not the point... or even close.

It's not actually as bad as it looks... 6 outter (A makes him), so bad, but not *that* bad. I mean really, this forum would have a million threads if everyone posted their 6 or 4 outters against low level idiots (or even mid and high level idiots with way too much money). We all have them all the time, so I really don't see the deal here. Yeah, it sucks, but if this is what constitutes a bad beat worthy of posting, you probably should play some more poker. You'll start taking wicked insane runner-runners and one and two outters and before you know it, you'll be thinking "six outter... well, he was 12% to win... that's not such a bad beat." Last time I lost to a six outter it was a rather larger loss and I thought that I probably had it coming because I hadn't taken a bad beat in the past few days... and was still + for the week anyway.
And yeah, maybe I'm wrong, but when you play at these low levels, (if you have ANY poker sense AT ALL), you damn well know that the bad beats are gonna come in like crazy, and you should know that this is why you make money down there - because idiots throw money at you when they're huge dogs. That's why you win, that's why you're making money, and every now and then an idiot gets lucky. I see it as the rules of the game/price of admission. At this level it's really just a home game with people you don't know, who are probably even worse than the idiots at your actual home game. And at low levels they're a dime a dozen (bad beats and the idiots that give them) , so again I just don't get it. Yeah, so you lost a $5 SNG because an idiot sucked out on you... just like the million other victims of math this past hour. What's postworthy about it?

No, his preflop raise was proper. Facing a limper, he made a pot bet. Textbook, to be sure, but certainly proper. |

I think it is.
Regardless, $5 to someone with a small bankroll is a big deal. |

| That may be true, but if losing that SNG is a big deal, your roll is too small to be playing $5 SNGs and that's your problem. |
