I was wondering what ever happened to moneymaker and the billionaire paul phillups that use to appear on the older wpt events? I havn't heard a damn thing from moneymaker, he must have been a fluke.

wel money maker has cashed in 5 times since his 2003 win. I think from that alone we can tell he was a fluke

in my personal opinion...moneymaker was a fluke. in a world where it's "what have you done for me lately" chris sure hasnt done much for me lately.

paul phillips is no where near a fluke. he was playing well before that wpt tourney he won, and still does well now. he just hasn't made televised final tables that you see.

was that sarcasm lol?
well phil ivey has cashed in 33 times since the 2003 ME.
joe hachem has cashed in 10 times since his ME in 2005 and 22 times in total
Greg raymer has cashed in 12 times since his ME in 2004 and 25 times in total

so yes i would say moneymake is lucky and is a bad player judging by his stats considering he claims to be a pro player and obviously a world champion

Fluke or no fluke he is still the 2003 WSOP world champion. Hes done what even some pros like Negreaneu and Harman havent. Still I do agree he hasnt backed up his world champion status.

paul phillips has boycotted the WPT tournies for a while now I believe

as far as moneymaker being overrated, he has business to take care of, not leaving a lot of time for poker

check out robert varkonyi's cashes, they are worse than moneymaker

Chris Moneymaker may be a fluke, I can't really say for sure.

But he played beautifully against Farha at that final table.

And Farha is no joke. Wink

in response to the comment about varkonyi...

i can't say much about what wasn't televised on espn, but from what i did see the guy was a lucky fool...i think they are both flukes

anyone else get a kick out of the moneymaker millionaire commercials that make him look like a god?

I'd be interested in how many tournaments Moneymaker has entered in comparison to Hachem or Raymer or Ivey... He may be a fluke... Or he may just not be playin'.
