Our only chance is to vote, Im not sure it will work but im voting all democrat soon, the republicans seem hell bent on eliminating what ever hobbies dont line their pockets. They have been using morals as their excuse, they say that gambling is immoral, first of all poker is no more gambling than base ball or foot ball is, the republicans think its all right for their priests to molest little kids but us internet poker players are all evil, that doesnt make sense to me.

You're free to think that, but you're pinning your hopes on something that's bound to fail.

The Democrats (as a party) haven't been any better about gambling legislation than the Republicans. Their excuse is just different - the Dems want to kill gambling because its a "disease" or a "social ill" or it preys on the poor and vulnerable, or (in the case of online gambling) the underage, etc, etc.

Voting Dem won't change a damned thing. The only thing that will is by letting our politicians (en masse) know that gambling is a big issue to us, and we're willing to vote accordingly, Dem, Rep or Independent. If/When the issue starts costing the big parties votes, they'll adjust their platforms accordingly.
