--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last night I logged out with almost 400 in my account, today I logged in to find my balance at 0. While I was on-line I was notified that someone had tried to log into my account, but I figured it was a mistake....evidently it was a thief. I've tried to contact memeber support, but they haven't replied as of yet. Be careful.... |

Understand the thought, but not what happened...no kids and the wife was in bed. I got a notice that someone was trying to log into my account when I was on-line, didn't think much about it at first but it now appears that someone hacked into my account. I still haven't heard from support on the issue, so whoever stole the money has probably cashed out by now.
BTW, not drunk when I was playing and no particular issues of mental illness |

| I doubt it was someone I know as I'm a forty year old attorney who lives with his wife...there is no one in and out of the house other than us. I attribute it to having a very simple password (a problem which I have since rectified). I stil a bit taken aback by the fact that no one from customer support has yet contacted me. Tracking down what happened shouldn't have been difficult via IP address of sign on, but now it's been three days. |

| My party poker account and my pokerstars account were hacked. The way it happened was i had my passwords saved, and had a great amount of spyware (pop-ups). Anyhow it does happen the spyware sends out the saved passwords and people log on and and take something if there is anything in there. If you have your passwords saved and have spyware than i would say that is what happened. |

Try checking 'history' in the cashier, then past transactions. If someone was stupid enough to try and cash it out, or transfer it to another account, then you should get it back.
If they lost it all, then, that's another story. I don't know if people's IP's are tracked by online poker sites. If they lost it all to one person, than that's a little suspicious. I'm sure they'll investigate it.
Best of luck to you. |

| Thanks for the reply, that's my thought exactly. One of the first things I didi was to check the deposit/withdrawl history but but no luck. My best guess is that somoe logged in then dumped the money themselves or a friend to launder it, which is, as you noted, very suspicious. I would feel better if I had at least been contaced by customer support, but at this point still no reply after 4 day...a little rediculous |

If he dumped it all to a friend, that should be easy to spot.
Regarding support, I don't know what's going on there. They must be having problems, 'cause you're waiting, I'm waiting for a cash out, and others are waiting for cash outs as well. I remember someone from support mentioning how short staffed they were.
If they're not taking it seriously, they should be. Integrity, and security are big in online poker. It's one of their big selling points.
They probably are taking it seriously, though. Still, an email would be nice. |

What site are you saying this happened at?? Full Tilt I am guessing.
If there are cases of this actually happening than that is scary!! How can some of those people that have $100's of dimes in their accounts feel sfe about their money?? I know I wouldn't. Of course I am worried about my $800 but I guess it is the price you have to pay.
So are you also saying that Full Tilt is stalling with their payouts as well??
I have not tried to cash out yet but this is disturbing to me if it's the case?? |

Is this actually disturbing to you, or are you asking us to tell you whether or not it's disturbing? Punctuation is your friend - don't abuse it! |

| No problems with Full Tilt's cash outs as far as I know...the problem is with the theft itself and the absolute lack of customer support I have received. I realize they are busy, but a week without so much as a response is utterly rediculous. |

| If you really think about it, can the poker companies really do anything? If the theif got your money out and into his neteller acct, i doubt theres anything the poker company could do. |

| As of now your probably right, but that's really the problem....if customer service had lookedinto this at the time it happened instead of weeks later something could have been done....by falling asleep at wheel it may to late to catch the thief. BTW I've had to contact customer service at other on-line site (for things like server problems0 and the response was within an hour. By waiting a week the money is probably gone. |
