Some things you just grow tired of.
All the personal bashing about so-n-so not knowing **** about something else: "You don't know the first thing about {insert name of current topic here}." "Yes, I do." "Prove it." "Don't have to because I just know."
All this crap makes me tired of reading these threads that get hijacked by a select few forum members who insist on manipulating HH conversions into debates (or heated arguments) about things like the latest legislation.
Why is it that some people insist they KNOW simply because they KNOW and cannot offer any PROOF?
Why is it that some people can't hold a CONVERSATION about a controversial topic without it becoming some sort of "you're a pathetic loser" slam session?
Why can't we admit that this new legislation has really pissed in EVERYBODY's Wheaties?
Why can't we admit we don't know why some lawyers are saying "it's the end" and some lawyers are saying "don't worry"?
But most importantly, why can't we all agree ....
THAT WE'LL ALL KNOW A HELL OF A LOT MORE IN 270 DAYS.....?!?!?
Until then, just drop it. Please. |

I personally am shocked, SHOCKED, that you can get two lawyers to look at the same legislation and not agree.
Show two lawyers on the opposite side of a case a yellow piece of paper and they will find a way to disagree on the color ("its Canary yellow" "No, its Sunshine yellow"). |

Agree.
What type of Society do the poker community wants to be.
like the irish community.
or like the jewish community.
What needs to happen is to make some rules that everyone follows.
1) if you spend money, you get to be listen by others.
2)if you ask for help, don't say thank you pay the people that help you. |

| Agreed. We shouldn't be fussing with eachother when we should really focus that energy towards fussing with the incumbent officials. |

| Yes, we will all know a lot more in 270 days. And we will most likely be able to play poker for that long, maybe losing a few funding options along the way. But I would think that some of you younger players might think it prudent to look ahead. Me, I'm in my 50s and for all intents and purposes retired, so it doesn't matter to me. But I'm sure there are many younger players out there who may be blowing off college or putting off looking for a decent job because they have been making money playing online poker. Hey, I tip my hat to you guys. Good job. But if it really is going to be over in nine months, at the risk of sounding like your father, maybe it would be best to face the music sooner than later. Another unexplainable 9-month gap on the resume won't help matters. |

Wha...? Are all us "older guys" dying between now and January? If I'm going to be set adrift on some ice floe between now and January, I'd like to know about it ahead of time. |

Why would I be hiding from my computer? Is it going to eat me? I can imagine the new horror film....
Or am I hiding my computer? As a punishment? BAD COMPUTER! TOO MANY BAD BEATS!
Or is my computer hiding from me? Secretly I stalk my computer like Jack from The Shining. "All Poker and No Play Makes Otto A Dull Boy" or "Heeeere compuuuter, compuuter!" "Heeeeeere, compuuuter, compuuuter!" |
