Better final prize? Or maybe a hat/3600 pts to the winner (on top of the 1st place points) every week?

We might need to move this to an available night where more can play.. its a last minute struggle sometimes.. guessing cause its out of season... but I am all for a little higher FTP payout (per ITM would be an additional plus)

I agree, but with the NLHE mbj's on Sunday night, what would be the next best option? Maybe sometime Saturday afternoon (eastern time)? I wouldn't want to schedule them for Fri or Sat nights because I know people have things to do, places to be.

Well, I will assign eight captains, and yes, they will all be forum pro's. We will randomly have a drawing for the draft order, and the pro's will each pick three or four players (depending on how many want in) for their respective teams.

The biggest suggestion I would have to gain a larger interest would be to try and get some of the red names to commit to playing. Not necessarily the same one week to week, but having at least one pro joining (and having them join EARLY) would definitely increase the visibility of the tourney.

I think the prizes from this past season are fine, the points were a nice bonus for the weekly top three.

My true feeling is that the Horse tourney did poorly for three reasons. First off, it was the first season. Most people didn't even know about it. If the seasons continue, more and more interest (and participants) will increase.

Second, and not to brag, but when I took such a large lead, some people may have lost interest because they had no chance in the end. The players are getting better, so for someone to go on a big rush early is not likely to happen again.

Finally, the updates were spotty. I'm not blaming, just saying. I think that hurt interest because for 2-3 weeks, no one knew how they were doing in comparison to others. KGB said that he was going to handle that personally, and I think that he will do a great job keeping up with it. And that will keep interest higher.

Just my thoughts,

Pil

I apologize for the delay Pil Sung, but this slipped my mind. However, I just sent FTP support an email detailing your situation, so you should hear from them soon. Congratulations on winning the inaugural MBJ HORSE season! Very Happy

Thanks, and just to let you know, I received my points and have ordered a football jersey. Very Happy
