Sorry, not gonna take the time to read your long-winded response that is based on opinion not facts.
OK... it's pointless to try and show the light to the brain-dead. I offered no opinion in my post. It was all facts, but you don't have any interest in actual discussion. You're apparently only interested in gloating over a meaningless political victory that will effectively change nothing. Whether the Dems or the Reps are in control, it makes no difference. We're all getting screwed. That was the point. But it's lost on a hypocrite sending one poster to the library to read up on "the facts", then on the other hand refuses to read four sentences of undeniable facts written right in front of his face.
Ok I counted, 1, 2.... oh, zero facts and all opinions in your post. Thank you for playing and again I say "nyah nyah nyah nyah nyahhhhhhhhhh nyah". I love driving powerless republicans insane, hahahahahaa
never mind my question, your at the most 21, and acting 14 EOT. |

I am a Republican. I was very sorry to see the results.
I truly hope that the new House and Senate leadership will use their newly acquired power to properly represent the will of the American people. Our votes were an expression that the majority of Americans desired a change. There was a clear difference in the candidates and the voters have made their choice.
I may disagree with the position of some of the elected officials, but I love the system that allows us to make the choices.
For the next two years we will live with a Republican Executive branch and a Democrat Legislative branch. I pray that they will be successful.
Deadmoney – I rarely agree with the positions of the ACLU, but I applaud their constant defense of ideals and your support of their efforts.
The founding fathers recognized that the greatness of our country would be guaranteed through the free exchange of ideas, considered debate and an educated populace. Tuesday all of those things came together. I look forward to the next election in two years. |

Ahhhhhhhh....but do we 'really' have a choice??
I don't think that we do.
Why do we always seem to only have a choice between dumb and dumber every election!?
Why don't we have more candidates to choose from??
Why is it that the choice always ends up between either a Republican puppet or a Democratic puppet?
Why is it that the candidates always seem to either come from wealth or influence??
It is all a friggin scam. It is the wealthiest people who are truly running this country. We the people are merely an afterthought I am afraid. |

Are we think about the same TV? CBS, CNN, NBC, ABC, FOX? CNN was founded by Ted Turner, a guy with very liberal views who, if I remember correctly used to be married to Jane Fonda, an equally liberal women.
True, alot of people say the owner of Fox is a conservative, but remember, this is the guy who just held a huge fundraiser to help Hillary Clinton get elected. Questionable credentials for a conservative.
As far as the other networks go, I don't believe I've ever before heard a claim that they have a conservative slant. Of course, you did say their owners were conservative, not their content. Are you basing this on the belief that stockholders own the company, and stock holders must be conservative, therefore...? Just curious were this is coming from.
As far as print goes, I know the common belief is that the Wall Street Journal's editorial page has a conservative slant, although the same commonly held belief says that their news page has a liberal slant. The Washington Times is also well thought of to be conservative. Other then that, I'm having trouble thinking of any others. New York Times? Liberal. Washington Post? Liberal. Atlanta Constitution? Liberal. Los Angles Times? Liberal. Chicago Tribune? Liberal The list just seems to go on and on, and on, and on. Of course, I am talking about their content, not ownership.
On radio conservatives do have an edge. I don't think anyone really doubts that. But its an edge in an 'also ran' media.
Sort of like if the owner of a Operating System company was told how Microsoft has a 95% market share and says, "Yea - but we're beating them 70-30 in the Canary Islands" Thats how I feel about conservative dominance in radio, "anything is better then nothing I guess, but they hardly compare".
And before you respond, just remember the words of a very well informed member of this forum who said:

P.S.S. You know I'll never let you live that down, right? |

My fantasy? Gridlock for the next two years.
Sigh, but like most of my fantasies, it is unlikely to come true. (Sorry Swedish Bikini Team members)
