So I've seen other people comment on how these "millions" are not actually millions because of being staked...
but this one we know what the exact amount of money he walked away with was...
Here is the outcome for the youngest WPT winner at that time with his $1.5m win...
His dad staked him and took 50% of his winnings.
BUT, before that happens, Uncle Sam takes his 50% off the top too (not exactly, but we're summing up)...
So he and his dad split 750k, leaving him with 375k...
All I know is that I wouldn't piss on the 375k if I've won a satellite and then the whole tournament, but I also know that I'd like to come away with much more than 1/4 million if people are going to refer to me as a Millionaire!
LOL (and think, he won 1.555555555!m... how about in a similar situation if it was barely over 1m... he end up with less than 250k in some cases) |
