A player goes all in, and I'm sure he has a king to go with the two on the board. I have straight and flush possibilities. Should I call this all in?

Why? You have at most 17 outs, assuming he doesn't have 3 kings. If he does, you have 12 outs with 1 card to come. You only hit that 1/4 of the time. No Way!

Absolutely no way. Your flush outs are probably good but you are not getting the odds to draw to them and what if he makes or already has a full house? Dont gamble all your chips to draw to a str8 with a flush on the board or to a flush with a full house on the board

Look closely here: You don't have that many outs. You have at most 7 outs for the flush (the 9h will boat him in your scenario, as will one other heart, assuming he has Kx, the x not being a T or 9). 4 outs for a straight.

So, 11 outs to the best hand you can have....which may not be enough to beat what he has RIGHT NOW. Look at the board. Let's say he has K9 and flopped two pair on a scary coordinated board, so he's careful of a made str8, or a flush draw, and he bets 240, a good size bet. You call, so he puts you on one of his two fears. He hits his miracle card, and boats up on the turn. Now, what does he fear? Nothing, so he pushes. Of course, he could have just a pair of Ks, and when he trips up he's trying to push you off a draw, and did it well.

Fold.

3 outs for a straight - don't double count the queen of hearts for the straight and flush.

There are 8 players left, so this pot isn't a horrible spot. I like your bet on the flop as probably a favorite to win. When he just calls on the flop, any bet on the turn would committ you to the pot. Here, there is 720 in there and it's another 870 to go. You'd want greater than a 35% chance of winning to continue in this pot. I think there's at least a 10% chance that your hand is good right now, and your opponent has something like Ah8h. If our opponent does have trip kings, which doesn't make a lot of sense based on how he played the hand, but if he does, we'd need a Q or heart to win. There are 12 left, but if our opponent doesn't already have a full house or a heart in his hand, then one of the hearts will make him a full house. This gives us at most 11 outs if he doesn't already have a full house. If our opponent has a ten in his hand, we can also hit a 9 or jack to win the pot, along with our flush and straight outs. I probably wouldn't call the bet, though it's close, unless I really had a strong read that my opponent was bluffing. I wouldn't be too surprised if he were bluffing here, as your check on the turn seemed weak.

FOLD IT ~ no question.

He doesn't have KK, but could easily have KT or K9 (suited or otherwise), which leaves you with the Qh as your only out. Odds of hitting this are only 2.3%.

This may have been a good position for you to go all in on the turn. Didn't look like he had top pair with his call and the scare cards on the table. Flush draw and straight draw. So take the K away from his hand.

Add to that, even if you do lose, you've still got 1000 in chips remaining, so you've got lots of life left. Great opportunity to put some pressure on.

Now, that position you're left in, i think you have to fold. If you would have pushed on the turn, your winning percentages would have increased based on his fold equity. Again, this partially depends on the read you have on this guy too.

With your hand after the flop you had an inside straight draw, pair and flush draw. AFter he raised the 230 or 240 you should have reraised him all in and made him make the decision of whether he wants to risk his chips rather than you. You could take down the pot right there or if he calls you have a good shot to draw out on him. Either way the pressure is on him now.

...overwhelmingly I read on this thread, "FOLD!". I just couldn't help but try to convince myself that the other player didn't have a king. What a dummy I am! Thanks to all for your input.

Here's the results:

DOLPHINS13 shows [7s Ks]
wbtczn shows [Jh 9h]
bdawg2 has returned
*** RIVER *** [Kh Th 9c Kc] [7d]
DOLPHINS13 shows a full house, Kings full of Sevens
wbtczn shows two pair, Kings and Nines
DOLPHINS13 wins the pot (2,460) with a full house, Kings full of Sevens

This analysis is superficially correct, but ignores how many of YOUR outs make his hand.
