Last time I did something like that as a joke in an online forum, I overdid it and convinced a guy that all he had to do pirate a certain computer game (by disabling the serial number thing) was use a bunch of command prompts that actually formatted his hard drive. It was funny. Then he fell for it and it was funnier. Then he threatened to sue me and it was hilarious. Then he did and it was not even a little funny. Then I got served, and he had included the fact that the was trying to pirate the game... on the game's official forum... in his lawsuit and it was hilarious again.
