Ok, I was playing at the 2/4 table with Perry and Strasse, and Strasse mention something about Perry slapping people with an article on Stud. This is probably something I should read.

I don't regret the way I played for the most part, I know I definitely "leaked" about $30 away however, and it was probably just because I was tired. The only big pots I lost were to a 7th street boat, a 7th street flush, and I think one more 7th street hand. And a hand where I started with 456 and got in for the bring in. Then had two pair by 5th then a OESD going to 7th. I hit nothing and the winner hit a flush.

I really think I need to read more on the game, since it is where my roots lie and I have a lot more fun playing it. Please help me find the article.

While Perry's arcticle is good, it is probably something you already know. It just talks about never bringing in for the completion. If you really want some stud help, read the article by Chip Reese in SS1 if you haven't already. Also, there is a book out that looks pretty good, Seven Card Stud for Advanced Players, by Sklanksy, Malmuth, and Zee. I plan on picking this up soon, so I'll let you know if its any good.

i just read that book strasse this past summer. It is an excellent book and has some great advanced plays in it. Unfortunately, most of them only work at the medium and high limits. But even still, you can use some of them anyway. I have begun to do so and i really feel, in the long run, they will help you win/save extra bets. Make sure you get the 21st century addition as their is an older version of htis book out as well.
Perry is a genuine player too. I played with him briefly at a .50/1 stud table and he was giving many players tips.
