| Well, don't call all ins with AJ - although, by now you probably knew this player was suicidal, so that's forgiveable. The A9 hand - umm, what were you thinking, precisely? Yes, you were four handed, but even so! You weren't exactly short stacked, either - over 20 BBs left! That was just dumb. If you let yourself tilt like that, you'll take more bad beats, because you'll be in more pots you shouldn't be in with marginal holdings. |

| It happens, variance sucks. Trust me I lost about 9 3 outers in a row the other day. As for your play, your A9 line is ugly. |

Yes, the a9 line was ugly, this was on tilt right after i had just lost with the AJ. I still was a favorite preflop though, so i feel i got my money in with the best. The main one that pisses me off is the Q3. Q fking 3 come on.
Oh and btw, i just reread the a9 line. Yeah, I did it because with the maniacs call before me and everyone else out of the hand, I was confident she had something marginal - weaker than what I had. She hardly ever made a straight call -- If she had anything she'd raise for sure. I also knew she'd call my all in with just about anything, so I figured I had a decent chance to double up. So yeah, you may look at it and think it's not that great of a line, but given the situation I think I got my money in at perfect time based on what type of player she was and my reading, and got unlucky again. At first it may appear to be a tilted play, but now that i reread it I see why i did what i did.
Edit: I Just checked the odds of the 3 hands -
MY AQ 77.1% to win preflop
My AJ was 68.2% to win preflop
My A9 was 69.6% to win preflop
So to urban who called my A9 line ugly, read above - I knew it was the correct play and it WAS, i just lost 3x in a row with great chances - it's poker. |

Wasn't judging it by the result. I put the maniac on a hand worse than mine and was correct, and got my money in with the best hand. I dont know how else you want to judge it, poker isn't all about odds and cards -- I have become pretty good at reading people onilne and knowing when to make big laydowns/calls. |
