I played a HORSE SNG (play chip) tourney today and won. Felt like a fish out of water during the Razz and stud games though. Just tired to survive until it got back to the Holdem games.
There were four left when it returned to Holdem. The two short stacks busted quick here and I was heads up trying to push as many hands as I could to try to get a lead before we returned to Razz. The big turn came when I was dealt A2sKK in Omaha eight or better and I pushed this hand hard won both high and low. We had to go into Razz, but he was so short by then, he was bsically allin with his first bet. If I had two cards 8 and under of my first 3 I called. He doubled up twice before I was able to take it.
I was excited to be able to win, but I don't know if I would invest money in HORSE yet as I don't know enough about the stud games and I really did not feel confident in that area. I'd probably play too scared for real money. |

Nice job jjp, I only managed a 3rd in my first one there. (13 for 13 "cashing" in their Horse + Razz SNGs so far )
Super System 1's section on Razz is probably short enough that no one will bug ya if you read it at the bookstore. Of course you'll need to buy it to get through the stud section. (Stud H/L section has some useful info, but you need to translate a bit for Stud8 H/L) |

The section Chip Reese wrote? I read it in the bookstore, and didn't buy it. |
