This isn't the only, or even the biggest reason as to why online play is much more profitable. The biggest reason is the sheer number of hands played per hour. If you play one table, that's twice as many hands per hour, if you play two tables, that's four times as many hands per hour, and consequently four times the profit. |

Jack king never played online obviously. It is absolutely impossible to remember ALL of the bad beats. I cant even remember all the bad beats i see in half an hour.
And the person that said you should win more playing twice as many hands is exactly right. 3 years ago most of the sites were random. There were bad beats of course. But i never complained. In fact if somebody called me all the way and caught a gutshot i said nice hand way to hang in there to make sure he did it again. And i happily took his money the next ten times he did it and said h man bad luck i was screwed if you caught that ten" But anybody that played back then and plays now can see the difference. People will hit that gutshot river 2 3 times in a row. not 1 in 11. They will hit 1 outers as often as you hit when you flop 4 to flush and open str8. And then they will laugh at you and tell you how stupid you were to call there gutshot draw raises with 2 pair. |

| I think a key to winning at the lower levels is to be patient and let others make mistakes. I'm in the midst of a long slump, but have still managed to cash out about 1500.00 over the past 7 months playing mostly $5 sng's and $5 tournaments. I originally deposited 300.00 and have never lost it, and am still above 300.00 as of today. Read all you can on poker--play smart and I don't see how you can lose. There are just too many bad players willing to give you their money. |

| yea, at the lower level tables you just have to play fundamentally sound poker... it is really hard to bluff players at these tables as calling stations will call the whole way through w/ a marginal hand... so you really have to show the best hand down most of the time... but the higher you go, i think only then can you start to get "fancy" and pull off more bluffs and check-raises... |
