Rude chat
While enjoying a game of sit-and-go, I thought I’d engage in a little table banter with my opponents. What started out friendly enough (gh, ty, etc.), soon turned into an attack on me in which I was called an “idiot” and “stupid” who was only winning because I “got lucky.” One player was repeatedly going all in and I was the only one in the game who appeared willing to challenge him, once with a pretty weak hand. I do vary my game from tight-aggressive to loose occasionally, particularly in a game with a low buy-in (like this $30 sit-and-go). However, even if my playing style was a little unorthodox, I don’t consider it appropriate to respond with hostile personal insults in the chat box. What do you think?
By the way, I went on to place second in that particular game. I don’t know how any of my opponents felt about that because I had turned off the chat function. |

Some of the chat on this site, especially the observer chat is ridiculous.
While playing a 1am $5 NLHE tourney last weekend I had the privilege of sitting at the same table as Clonie Gowan. The chat got so bad even I had to block the observer chat. This is a public forum, so I won't repeat what was said, but it involved golden showers (no joke), and was very inappropriate. I can only imagine how Clonie felt.
I think Clonie had them instantly banned from the site, or had their chat privilages revoked, 'cause it stopped. Normally I don't think people should be banned for foul language, but they obviously crossed the line.
Anywho, I hope this doesn't stop her from playing small buy-in tourneys in the future, 'cause it was fun having her at the table, and 99% of us really appreciated it.

| I agree - some chatters are just too far over the line. Just last night I was called a very inappropriate, 4 letter word that starts with a c, after which the player started to simply fill the chat box with random letters so nobody else could chat unless they blocked him. I sent off an email to support, and expect that next time I see this player, I won't hear anything from him. |

| Just ignore it, it's annoying and even my friend who plays on my account with me does it. All you can do is ignore it...There needs to be individual mutes for individual players. |

| I like that full tilt will revoke the chat privelages of such players. I understand that you can get upset, but saying &$%# and being insulting and rude for a prolonged period of time are two different things. |

I usually use the rude chat from another player as a clear indicator that they either are a bad player or on tilt either way I take advantage of it.
The other day I was on a huge loosing session. I finished down 100BB in 900 hands. Not a big deal but I had one table that was funny.
I am in the SB with AA. Theer is an early position raise everyone else folds. I reraise and the BB calls. The original raiser raises again and I cap it. The BB calls along with the early position.
The flop is Qxx rainbow. Capped again all three still in. The turn is another blank. the early position bets out and I raise and call the reraise thinking I maybe beat. The BB is still calling.
The river Q. Ok now I know I am beat. The early position bets I call along with the BB.
Early position has AQs the BB shows his QJo and starts calling me an idiot for building the pot. He has about $84 at this time and continues to berate me for an hour. Of course I now have him marked and have lower the standards it takes to raise against his blind.
About an hour later he leaves the table with $16. Unfortunately I didn't get any of it because my cards were bad but the other players did profit from it.
I do agree though when the chat gets over the line any of us should not hesitate to contact support. Self policing is the quickest way to solve the problem.
I have had very quick responses from support in reporting people spamming the tables. |

Why the heck are you digging up 4 month old dead topics, and only responding with two word, unpunctuated, meaningly crap? LOL
Perhaps you're just desperate for that "straight flush" title? |

That is what you call a post whore. You would think the moderators would do something to put a stop to it. It is frustrating to a lot of people. |
