|
|
I opened my account for $475 and was only able to earn $200 of my matching $475 bonus. I played on average 25 hrs a week over 4-5 days a week (about 2300 hands a week) and didnt earn half my sign up bonus. Over the time to earn bonus the totals are about 26,000 hands and 300 hrs played.
Thats a lot of poker playing and a lot of time spent. I shouldnt be punished just because I cant afford to play $3-$6 (or higher) blinds tables.
This bothers me since I obviously put in the time.
I'd like to hear from those who agree with me on this. And not those who dont because if you dont its probably because you are able to afford to play the higher limit tables, while the vast majority of us are not.
At partypoker I earned my $100 dollar bonus in 2 weeks!! Here it took me 4 months to earn $200 even though I played 10 x's more hands and hours. |

I'm with you on this one! Started with $300 in mid-June and have only earned $60 so far. Haven't logged my actual hours played, but I've seen a good number of hands. Have probably played more S&G than anything, so that's probably slowing it down. Check out the thread under Feedback: Online Poker Forum - 100% Sign-up bonus.
Anyone have recommendations on how to speed up the process? Can you Get Er Done by just sittin in higher limit games and playing a few killer hands like Dan "the rock" Harrington? Please advise asap since my bonus time is up in early October.
Good luck to you, better luck to me!

Any table where you see a lot of pots with a maxed out or near maxed out rake will earn you that bonus really quickly. MTT's and SNGs are a painfully slow way to earn that bonus, but if you put in an hour or so a day at an appropriate level NL table, that bonus will start coming in pretty quick. The higher limit the better obviously, but even .1/.25 is pretty fast for a smaller deposit... especially when the players there can't stop calling you when you bluff all in with the nuts. |

| SNGs are pretty quick, compared to other sites who don't even allow bonuses to be paid by SNG fees or really slow ones. |

I was similarly frustrated with the length of time it was taking to get my bonus money. When I switched over from single table sng's to the ring tables, I was amazed at how quickly I finished my deposit bonus! And that play was primarily at the lowest limit ring tables (.05/.10 NL).
So that's my suggestion, if you're trying to amass your bonus money quickly..... spend more time at the ring tables instead of playing sng's.

I would have liked to earn my initial deposit faster, but part of the problem was a lack of bankroll on my part (I only earned $140 of $600). I plowed through a $50 September reload pretty quickly at $1/2 limit tables.
The thing you have to understand is that FullTilt doesn't care how much TIME you spend at their site, they care how much RAKE you contribute. The bonus money is coming "out of their pockets" and they must recoup it via rake. You contribute more rake at the higher limits, therefore the bonuses clear more quickly. It's just business guys. |
