Sometimes I wonder what these people are thinking.. Even from the flop:
./pokenum -mc 500000 -o 4s As 2d 2s - Kd 3c 3h 9c - Jd 8s 7c 6h - 8d Td 5s 4h -- 3s 4d 5c
Omaha Hi: 500000 sampled boards containing 3s 5c 4d
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
As 4s 2s 2d 26674 5.33 473326 94.67 0 0.00 0.053
9c 3c Kd 3h 76835 15.37 423165 84.63 0 0.00 0.154
8s 7c Jd 6h 294068 58.81 199319 39.86 6613 1.32 0.595
5s Td 8d 4h 95810 19.16 397577 79.52 6613 1.32 0.198
Oh well, I don't complain. |

Why would you want to raise from the SB with that hand? Calling is definitely the better option here as your hand is marginal at best. If your 2 gapper was at the low end of the rundown and you were in late position, then maybe you could raise a weak table.
Other than that, nice hand. |

Thanks for the reply.
Did you mean the raise on flop (the one I said I missed)? I was thinking about raising since I got the best hand at the moment with a redraw to a better hand with 6,7 or 8. In addition, there was no flush draw possible at the moment.
The reasoning was that by raising anybody calling with a set would make a bigger mistake, and I don't usually like to give free cards.
I do appreciate your comment, but could you explain it in bit more detail? As I said on the other post, I'm new to Omaha |

It was nice that you picked that up in the SB to get in for half price, especiallly with all those callers. It's almost like they don't really know how to play the game so they just limp into every pot just to see if they can catch something.
On the flop you should have raised but you admitted to a misclick so it's all good. NH. I accidentally clicked check instead of bet in a hi/lo game a couple days ago when the flop was 74A, I had 9,2,3,K in my hand. I felt kind of like an ass. I had the nut low and a nut flush draw. Turn was the 5 that completed the flush and the wheel for me. So I took down the whole thing. But I still misplayed the flop. Damn laptop.
again..nh. |

I misread it. I thought you said you wanted to raise PF, which would've made no sense. I really don't mind smooth calling an all in on the flop because the only thing that you can fear is the board pairing, which will only happen on the turn about 14% of the time (assuming you think someone is holding onto a set.) However, playing your straight on the turn is still relatively easy regardless of if the board pairs or not. |
