|
|
ok this has to be the craziest hand i had ever seen. i wasnt in the hand but i still want to say somthing about it. the guy UTG raises 4XBB. everyone had folded and it was to the Sb and BB. the Sb calls and the BB calls.
the flop comes J(club)6(heart)6(diamond)
the Sb checks, the BB bets about 1/3 pot. then the guy that was UTG raises min.. the Sb sat and took awhile then raises all in!. the BB then calls and the other guy also calls right away...the Sb shows 66, the BB shows AKs (clubs), and the other guy shows JJ.
the turn was a Q(club)
the river....... 10(club) |

Heh.. I've heard that too.
I had an interesting hand recently....
KA
Flop comes KK3, I make a nice bet which is called. Turn is crap, River is A.
I go all in, other guy calls and flips over AA. |

If you search through some of my early threads you can see where 3 people hit a set including me at my b&m. KK (me), 99 & 66 with flop K96, turn K river A. It was capped every round except the river (I thought I had hit the bad beat jackpot thinking someone hit Aces full on the river the way it was bet).
Just this last weekend my friend dragged me out there to play 6/12 and he had a hand where 3 people including him hit a set. JJ, 88 (him) & 44 with flop J84 two spades. The flop was capped and a spade hit the turn, it went check check check as well as the river, lol.
Just yesterday my buddy was playing 1/2 online and had KK heads up against his opp AA. Flop came AKX, turn K, river blank--the betting was capped on every street.
Weird crap happens everywhere, if you play well you will more frequently be on the winning end of weird crap. |

That was the commercial for Party Poker. It shows the player having AA, the board was AAxxx. The other player in the hand turned over AK. Good commercial. |

The sad thing is that the ak made in my opinion one of the worst calls I've ever heard of or seen in my life. Maybe the the chip stacks made it work and he was way up or something but come on ....
He called a reraise out of position with no pair, no draw, and no clue and with someone still to act behind him and with a check raise all-in in front of him. Of course he gets rewarded with a royal flush. This is why poker drives people to the bottle. Seriously, what hands could he be ahead of at that point?
1. A complete garbage steal bluff
2. ace-junk
3. not a whole f@#k of a lot else
Furthermore, that 1/3 of a pot original bet he made isn't going to pick up the pot in any game i play in, only get called by better hands, or get him raised off the hand by more aggresive players. On an uncoordinated board if he wants to pick the pot up right there, he needs to bet more than half the pot, imo, especially with the raise coming from under the gun.
Best possible scenario is someone has a hand like J-10 and the a-k is still way behind but at least will likely win if either an ace or king peels off. The guy opened for a standard/biggish raise from 1st position. He's GOT to have something, and that something almost HAS to have AK crushed.
In fact the further I consider this play, the more and more I'm disgusted b the thought that the poker gods rewarded it with the holy grail of hands and he got paid. |
