I'm on my worse losing streak since I began playing in October of last year. I understand quite a bit of my losses are from frustration and bad decisions, but for the past two weeks I have been playing solid poker. I find my KK & AA are losing to 99 & 44 and I'm raising pre-flop, and bet the pot after the flop only to be called to the river each time... losing to a straight & trips.
I understand bad beats are part of it all, but they are just coming at a time when I need a break. I know it's effecting my game, I just don't know how to get past the constant losing even when I'm playing well. Should I take a break? Do I start taking notes on each hand I lose? I'm grateful for any suggestions.[/b] |

| The best advice I can think of when you're on a losing streak is to take a break for a bit. Avoid the temptation of logging on just to see if the streak is over, because that anxiety alone is going to affect your play. Take a few days off, clear your head, then come back only when the thought of losing is not foremost in your mind. The more you try to force the luck to change the less likely it is that it will. |
