| Maybe instead of trying to keep track of exactly how many of each cards have been folded, it might be easier just to count how many cards between say, A and 7 have been spoken for. There are 28 cards from A to 7. Everytime you see one, you can just subtract from 28 and keep track of that number. It would take a lot of practice and a gifted ability to remember each specific card. |

Well, I don't know of a formula to value the cards, but there is a way you can keep track of them (at least when you play online). In the chatbox window, type in every up card you see, and even if your opponents fold them, you'll still be able to "remember" what they mucked. I believe it was AlexScottUK who mentioned this idea a while back. |

One of the moderators, GripHoldOn, created it for me for a small fee of $5. I don't know if he's still making them, but you can ask. |

While it's a good theory, it doesn't really work. You need to know how many of each specific number are left. If you are thinking ok, I have 24 outs left and the next card dealt to you is a 7, do you now have 23 outs? No, you need to know how many other 7s did you account for in your outs. Was that the last 7 or was that the first 7? If my opponent hits a 3 and I have seen three other 3s mucked, then I know for sure he didn't pair.
Knowing what cards remain can really tell you a story of what your opponent holds and how likely you are to improve or brick on the next card. |

Thats a good point. Guess I didnt think of that, but this was only a very basic idea. I actually think learning correct basic strategy might help the original poster more than card counting though. |

True. In one of Phil Gordon's 2005 WSOP podcasts he was talking to Todd Brunson about razz and Todd said something that blew my mind. He basically said that an 84A or some mediocre razz could actually be a favourite over a hand like 632, depending on what cards are showing.
For that reason you need to keep track of each rank of card that's been exposed. And the best way to do that is by using the chat window. "68477". Very easy. |

84A vs. 632, with dead cards 4, 4, A, and A: 84A is a 58% favorite. |

I call it the 'Amazing Scott Method of Card Remembering'. I'm taking ideas for a better name. 10 points to the winner. |

Oh, and The Amazing Scott Method Of Card Remembering (TASMOCR) can be used in a variety of other exciting ways, including:
1. Typing the cards into Notepad
2. Typing the cards into Wordpad
3. Typing the cards into Word
4. Writing the cards down on a piece of paper (writing instrument and supply of paper sold seperately)
5. Etching the upcards into your forearm with a knife (the self-harm variant)
6. Writing the cards down on a virgin's naked body in your own blood (the cliched satanist method) |

| It's a bad habit to get in to, but if you turn the dealer chat to "everything" you can reference the cards already dealt. |
