$30 + $3 Sit & Go - 250/500 - No Limit Hold'em
Seat 8: xxxxxxxxxx (9,100)
Seat 9: UrbanMeyer1 (4,400)
UrbanMeyer1 posts the small blind of 250
xxxxxxxxxx posts the big blind of 500
The button is in seat #9
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to UrbanMeyer1 [3d Kc]
UrbanMeyer1 raises to 4,400, and is all in
Less than 10 blinds, aproaching 300/600. The blinds are just too much to not push in my mind and it's about .6%+EV.
I have just lost so much HU lately doing this. Should I rethink my play? |

maybe try some limp reraises?
I see your point, 3xBB is 1/3 of your stack, makes it hard to play if you miss the flop. |

| What kinds of hands will this player call with? He's probably going to take a chance to knock you out, which means he'll be calling with hands like K9, KT and better of course. If you don't have a real hand to push (Ax, KQ, KJ, any pair), you're better off making your steals with hands that aren't as easily dominated, and folding the hands that are. It will only take one win to give you the chip lead, so it's crucial that you're not dominated for it. |

Yeah, well I would have been stealing w/ connectors, etc too but I never got any of those. |

| Gibby it's impressive that you finished 3rd in a heads up, nice work. Urban take into consideration that an all in push to a player there who doesn't know the 10x blind rule or doesn't apply it heads up may look like an all out bluff. Consider varying it a little pushing all in with any pair ax decent hand that could be called and maybe raising 3x or min once in a long while to make it look like you want a call w/those worse hands. i guess also consider waiting for utter trash or a good hand and folding it so you aren't dominated as often. |

| I've heard some people say that as low as .5% EV is worth a push, but I tend to play a little more conservatively, even if it is heads up. I'd wait for a better spot that K3; you've still got fold equity even after your fold here. Plain and simple, there are better spots. And as Grip says--to paraphrase--you'll only be called by a hand that beats you. |
