| Micro limit stud is ever more frustrating than razz. |

Personally, i think stud is a more exciting game than holdem. I play now and then just for a change of pace. I like stud tourneys and sng too, but its tough to get them going or get a lot of entrants.
Anyway, be prepared to pull some hair out at low limit stud. I can only play in small doses as my laptop has, on many occasions, come very close to being tossed out of the window |

I know what you mean about the frustration. Twice today I had my rolled-up set get cracked on the river.
I made the move to stud about 3 months ago and have grown to love it (save for the really bad beats). |

I know what you mean abt. the frustration at the micro limits. I am a fairly good player and was losing consistently -- which sounds like an oxymoron, I know.
I stepped back and reviewed everything I knew abt. Stud and everything I was doing. I was playing well consistently and losing consistently. There was only ONE thing recommended by ALL poker books that I wasn't doing.
I wasn't playing with a big enough BR. So, I bit the bullet and upped my BR. I deposited it into my account and had paid myself back in 24 hours via the $2/$4 tables and also increased my base BR by a bit.
No doubt this is not for everyone, but it is working for me. I know Stud has big swings and that's why you need the reasonable BR. You can't win playing scared. The name of the game is minimizing losses and maximizing wins. Some days I will be down. I will just try to keep those days to a minimum.
I also read a post somewhere from a player who never stays in beyond a 10% loss of his BR. That seems to me a good mark.
