I guess everyone is playing perfect lately.
We need some more action on this forum. Reading and giving/getting oppinions helps everyone involved. Even if it seems obvious, post it and double check. I'm not interested in reading a whole SNG on the forum(through e-mail yes), but I have no problem reading a whole SNG from when you have near 12-13x blinds and on and of course you can add any other crucial hands from before this on the side. I'll be sure and post some of mine too. |

I will be the first to say my play hasn't been perfect. It never fails that after I take a leangthy break from online poker that the first few SnGs I play I win or place everytime. Example, I have played in about 7 SnGs over the last few days. I won the first 2, placed 2nd the 3rd, bubbled the 4th and went out just before the bubble on the rest. I am not saying by any means that I am a great poker player but as of the last year or so I do not go out early at all during SnGs. I am most of the time in the game with an average stack or better. I would say about 70% of the time. The other 30% would be just gett'n off to a slow start. I always stop playing after concecutive losses or not placing the money.
Over the time span I have thought that my focus may have changed or that I was impatatient but on the hands that knock me out I was ahead in the hand and was eventually rivered. After writing this I see some areas that I could have played differently and not allowed myself to go all in with cards to come. At the time I wanted the call. I set up the hands nicely to get chips in the pot and I got the reactions I wanted.
What I am asking is, does anyone else have a pattern or notice a difference in their outcome after they have played a few SnGs?
Another question? Is it a good decision to call on pot odds with a gut shot straight during a SnG? Example, you are starring down 3 of kind or a high pair and need a "j" for a straight. You have 2/3s invested and you have about 1000 left and your opponent raises to put you all in with 1 more card to come?
My answer is hell no. First of all I would not being chasing a straight and crippling my stack before the river and in SnGs you are still very much alive with 1000 in chips even late in the game.
As you can tell this happened to me. I was going up against the guy that was the big dog or had the most chips at one point in the game. When we went into this hand I was slightly more than he. He had a 2 to 1 maybe even a 3 to 1 chip lead earlier and was pushing his chips hard all game. I love these types players because they will pay you off on a good hand. It only ticks me off when I pay them off.
Enough of my rant. |

| You still have 13 blinds if you fold, it's not a good move. |

Yeah, there's no point to that post. Nowhere in your incoherent post did you come close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.

If you're gonna post again, try and choose a topic other than being terrible and gloating about getting lucky. Yea you shouldn't have won that tournament, please sit at my table?

Dude chill out!
I posted that merely to laugh at the person that got soo upset that I called him and paired my Ace.
That's all.
Geez, why do ppl get so mad when they go all in and get called?
If you don't wanna get called,then don't move all-in! |

It was never my intention to be a jerk,
I apologize if I came across that way or offended anyone.
As for my 8-8,I stated that it was nothing special in my post,I jus threw it up there to get some comments...good or bad. |

It's fine though, we're trying to actually be productive. This thread was supposed to get people to start posting bubble situations and other types of situations that could be played differently. Not the most obvious. |

ok then on that note...
Why is that a bad call for me? seriously,I can learn from that if you tell me why.
I thought I made a good call,I had A-J suited pre-flop,and I would not have called an all in after the flop thats for sure. |
