I'm in a SnG, blinds are 80/160 and I have As6s and under 1000 chips. I put in a standard raise that gets called by a 2 others. Flop comes Qs 10s 6h. A player makes a raise that would put me all in. Do I call and hope for the spade, or fold out with a severely reduced chip stack? If I remember correctly I have about a <40% chance of winning the pot, but had I folded I would have likely been blinded out before hitting a better hand.

In the actual event I called it and got lucky, but still felt like an ass afterwards. Did I make the right play?

p.s. as im typing this i get AA preflop in the BB and everybody folds :'(

What is this, a 6 table or 9/10 table? What position are you in and what was your raise? And how many are left?

You had to make your postflop play, The preflop play was understandable with just 5 people left. You don't get anything for finishing 4th.

First off, this belongs in the SNG section of the forum.

Secondly, please post all hand histories. It makes it a lot easier to understand what is going on when you post the HH. Read the sticky in the NL/PL Strategy forum for more information on how to post your trouble hands to get the best possible feedback.

For the hand itself, if you are going to play the hand, just move all in preflop. You have less than 10 times the big blind and you will be pot committed to any reraise anyone else makes. So you might as well shove to try to limit the chances of getting called.

+1.

If you got below 10bbs, you take whatever you can get. Yes, I'd call knowing full well I'm getting below 50% odds, and yeah, you should've shoved PF. If I ever see a low stack calling and I have ANYTHING, I almost always shove him in. People know you will play marginal hands, no need to declare it by not shoving in these circumstances.

1. Post this in the SnG forum.

2. If you don't have hand histories being logged, you should do so. When you post questions here, post a (converted -- use a site like http://www.leggopoker.com to convert them) hand history, without results.

3. If you opened the betting, you should have shoved. If not, you should shove or fold based on other factors. Without seeing a hand history, it is a lot harder to give advice.
