I deposited $100 about 2 months ago, and over the first month or so I took my BR on a grind to about $800 with a mix of regular and turbo SnGs using proper BR management. I went on a major downswing where I was running way below EV but eventually that tapered out. Only problem is that ever since then I've been mainly losing or breaking even.

I don't know what it is, but I can't get back into my groove. Some days it feels like no matter what move you make, it's the wrong one. Just as small example, I've spent the last week on a slow losing streak from $500 to just over $400. I've never had any real luck at the rings, and I used to feel comfortable at the 6H SnGs, but honestly my confidence is on its way to being totally shot.

If it was just a swing and I knew I was playing well, I could deal with that, but right now I'm not sure how best to evaluate my game and figure out what I'm doing right and wrong. The frustrating part isn't so much the fact that I'm losing, it's more knowing that I could be playing poorly or not, but have no way to tell.

I try reading all kinds of SnG strategy articles online, but for the most part it's a bunch of general tips and doesn't really break down the subtleties of the game where the real money is made. Anybody can tell you about stealing blinds or becoming more aggressive on the bubble, but most of the time general strategy doesn't help much with specific situations.

Any suggestions from all you wise forumers? Smile

Check out this for PT3.
I believe its more for cash games but can give you some ideas on how to look for a leak.

Thanks wedge. Heres my tournament graph over the last 2 months. As you can see, things haven't been going too well over the last almost 300 games.

I decided to check into all my 6H turbo games since that's mainly what I'm playing now. For some reason when I filter for "$6, $11, SnG (6max), and SnG (speed/turbo), I can't get rid of the few 9 handed ones I played since they don't have a 9 handed option to filter out, so I'll try to work around that with positional stats. I have 140 $11's with an ROI of -5.71 and 78 $6's with an ROI of -6.27. Just looking at hands with 1-6 players (my best attempt to eliminate the 9H games from my stats), my VPIP is only about 5% UTG and increases each position to the left until it's 23% OTB. My PFR is about 90% of my VPIP in these 4 positions so maybe I'm a bit too agro here and could stand a few more limps/calls. Overall I'm winning money from UTG - BTN, but losing a bit more than that in the blinds.

What was surprising was my blind stats. I'm running 11.9/5.9 in the BB. Should my VPIP there be that high with my BB discount, or should it be tighter since I'm OOP? My SB is 27.1/21.2, even looser than the button. I need to stop completing as often and not try to steal the BB as much I guess.

As far as adapting to the increasing blinds, I think I'm doing alright. My VPIP/PFR/AF average 11/6.4/2.8 at the first level and rise steadily. At level 5 I'm running 15.2/11.25/6.3 and at level 10 it's 25.2/22.2/5.

Any thoughts on my stats and maybe what I might do specifically to decrease losses from the blinds?
