|
|
So this one time...
I came to California to visit Gypsy. While here I went to SF and met Audsb. I will be going to Dallas to meet Strasse next.
Here are some pics and the story behind em.
I arrived on Thursday and played some poker. Gypsy deleted that pic tho. It's the only one of me with long hair. I had it cut while out here.
That is the chip I saved as a souvenir. Over 3 days and about 10 hours at the table I came out down about $15 at a $1-$1 $40 max buyin game.
After that Gypsy and I chose to play some pool by letting a gumball machine pick our activity. White gumball meant pool.
That's Gypsy kicking my *** all over this pool room. The lady running the place dug our choice of music so she gave us $5 to put in the jukebox and pick a bunch of songs.
On Saturday we went to SF. We met Gypsy's sister and her best friend. We had breakfast at this awesome little french cafe`. The girl who was with us ordered this drink here. How kool is that.
That was in Berkley. Next we drove into SF crossing the Bay Bridge.
We met Audsb at the beach. This beach had the most awesome view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
We walked up the beach with Audsb and her dog. I took a pic of her.
(spot reserved, waiting for approval from Audsb to post the pic)
The three of us also had our pic taken by a naked guy on the beach with the Golden Gate in the background. Aud has that one. She will post it soon I think.
We left the beach and drove past Robin Williams house.
After that we went to Amoeba Records.
That is me in the record store.
Those of you who play Guitar Hero might get a kick out of this.
You can't read it but this record store is a playable level (or whatever you call it) in the game.
After that we walked all up and down Haight Street.
We stopped in a bar and had some drinks. One guy was banging his glass on the bar asking for another beer. The bartender (who looked a bit like Cameron from Ferris Bueller's Day Off) was happy to provide him with one.
But not until after he spit in the glass.
After walking up Haight Street some more Audsb had to leave us to have dinner with the BF. Lame.
I had to go down Lombard Street while in SF so we did that.
That is on the way up. You can't tell just how steep this hill is from a picture.
This is the view from the top of the hill.
I may have a video of us going down pretty soon.
After that Gypsy and I went to Little Italy for dinner. We had pizza by the slice then walked around. We came across some weird stuff.
Weird books lighting up over a street corner.
The Mona Lisa on the hood of a car.
After that we came back to Gypsy's place.
Today we hung out and watched a video then went to the cardroom again.
Pics of the Dallas leg of my trip will be arriving soon.

I grew up there [East Bay].
They did pretty awesome for a day trip.

I didn't get a chance 2 warn u. Northern Calif. is very loose [and as u probably now understand, because the time charge- as compared to a raked game- is more expensive. Coulda been worse.
But I don't think Audsb woulda drug u to the Oaks in Emeryville on welfare check day.

nice [considering it's SF] that they didn't give auds crap about bringing her doggie 2 da beach. |
