|
|
I just started playing online poker for real money about 4 months ago... So I am really new to the game, and I understand that I have ALOT to learn. Anyways, I decided to focus on playing one type of SitnGo (Super Turbo 3.50+30) and try to specialize my strategy for that game.
Now that I have built up my bankroll, I feel that I have this game beat, and can consistently make money, but the variance is so much that I would be afraid to move up to higher limits. I have had downswings of over 80 dollars, and I felt like there was nothing I could do about it.
Basically, I want to start playing higher limits but I am having much difficulty.
The strategy for beating Super Turbos is a completely different than other types of poker (nl holdem) ... The 7.00+.50 super turbos are ok, but your ROI can never be great, or atleast as good as I would like..
I get borred from making money off simple fold equity, position, and understanding how to control the coin flips, and want to learn more about the game..
I make more money playing the Super Turbos than I do in the Regular Turbos, but I want to get better at the slower Sngs.. help..
IM STARTING TO FEEL LIKE I'M LEARNING THIS GAME BACKWARDS...
I know this is a very specific situation.. but any advice would be greatly appreciated... |

| Try playing some turbo 6- man SnG's. The stacks get shallow pretty quickly, so your backround in super turbos will probably give you an edge in the later stages. The short handed format also allows you to play more hands postflop, which gives you some practise. |

yea... Ill try that.. I do notice I do better on the 6 man Sngs... Will try.. anyways for 9 seated tables...
Would it be correct in the beginning of a 9 man sng to try to play just barely over 1/9th of your hands?
I always try to do something like this.. I like to play tighter than normal in the beginning and let the maniacs deal with themselves...
Maybe I should be less selective with my starting hands.. because at these low levels people rarely fold top pair..
and any 2 cards can crack the maniacs with 2 pair/straights/flushes/ect?
Any Ideas |
