Full Tilt, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players

BB: $27.16
UTG: $25.68
CO: $23.64 (30/17/2.0 over 48 hands, nothing stand out so far)
BTN: $16.90
Hero (SB): $26.15

Pre-Flop: J K dealt to Hero (SB)
UTG folds, CO raises to $0.75, BTN folds, Hero calls $0.65, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($2.25) T Q K (3 Players)
Hero checks, BB checks, CO bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, BB folds

Turn: ($5.25) J (2 Players)
Hero checks, CO bets $5, Hero ??

Is pre ok? I was thinking 3bet or fold, call the turn and check/fold most rivers? ugh

i flat pre every time. you don't really have any reads on him that make 3 betting good for value and 3 betting as a bluff is going to suck since your hand will play good against his range. while you may think that KJ is bad OOP, remember that you are playing a 30/17 at 25nl. he's not going to be good enough to make your call OOP unprofitable. its not like he's going to run very well thought out bluffs against you or take extremely tricky value lines. he's probably going to play pretty transparent and you should be able to take advantage.

as played, yeah, i call this and re-evaluate the river. i'm folding to most bets unless he sizes (or maybe times it) it in a way that makes me think calling is good. like if he bet really small, then it looks more like a smaller 2 pair or KX going for a blocker bet/value bet.

Preflop's fine. I'd have probably put some pressure on, cause unless he flopped a monster he's can't like that flop too much so take the position away. You don't want him coming in there w/ a random A either, and if he's got the NFD he's probably not going anywhere anyway. Bet 2/3 PB OTF, same OTT, if he raises or shoves call to try and suck out or fold and wait for a better spot. As played I agree w/ the dr. He's not going to try to bluff you very much here, so fold to a big bet otr, call a small one, depending on what falls. Bet if you boat up OTR.

This is very rarely a bluff, fold the turn.
