From Doug:

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all of the feedback so far on yesterday's update. We're working hard to address the issues that have come up.

Fixed in today's update:

1. Lag issues - There was a bug in the sound code that was causing frequent lag for many players. This is now fixed. If you turned off sounds, feel free to turn them back on.

If you still experience lag (that is, client side animation type lag, not normal "bad internet connection" type lag) please post or PM me describing exactly what you are experiencing and what kind of computer you have and what other software is running at the time.

2. Last Hand Replayer - This should now work the very first time you start the game instead of taking two tries to work.

There was an additional issue found where players can't use the replayer no matter how many times they restart. We've tracked the issue down, but unfortunately it wasn't fixed in time for today's update. It has to do with non-English Windows Operating Systems. So if you've got that problem and you have a non-English OS, a fix is coming soon.

If you use an English OS and are still having trouble getting the replayer to work, please post or PM some details and we'll look into it.

3. Tournament lobbies popping up - When your table breaks and you get moved to a new table, the tournament lobby no longer pops up. Just a bug, sorry about that.

4. Bet slider - The mouse wheel now works on the bet slider like it used to.

5. Tables popping - A number of you have posted that tables aren't popping in front of your web browser (or any other application) when it's your turn to act. We believe we've fixed the issue, but there were a few variations of the bug reported so it's hard to say if we got them all.

If you're still seeing the issue and you're sure that you have "Display Table on Action" checked, any additional info you can provide will be helpful.

Things that might be helpful:

1. If you are having problems with your old saved layouts detaching the chat every time you apply it, please try saving a new layout with the chat attached. It should work fine. What happened here is that the layouts now remember the state of the chat box when they're saved and before they didn't. It's possible old saved layouts are confusing the new layout behavior.

2. If you can't connect, see if you have some anti-virus software that's interfering with the connection. We're currently working with the AV vendors to make sure we aren't setting off a "false positive," but it may take a few days for those lists to update.

Things we couldn't fix for this update:

1. Missing cards - We're still having trouble reproducing this. If you experience it, please post or PM me about it and include all of the details you can think of (what were you playing at the time, how many tables, what kind of computer, what other software was running) that might help us debug the problem. This is an extremely high priority for us.

2. Small cards - We're going to look into possibly having a little checkbox option in the Options menu that will allow you to choose between the new style of small cards and just using a small version of the normal sized cards.

Nice on the fast turnaround.

The biggest issue for me right now concern fonts ... particularly in the Cashier's window ..seem a bit distorted and "overly" bold.

Oh .. Mac software .. PPC Tiger 10.4.11

Thanks.

And why can't we just have the regular version of the cards back? You guys didn't need to change the cards in the first place, but for some reason chose to. I don't see why you can't just give us back our nonblurry cards, they didn't need to be changed in the first place.

Not to mention numerous people told you the new cards were blurry in the beta testing, but you guys chose to ignore that. So now since you guys didn't take the feedback we gave you in the beta and rushed into launching this new update when it clearly wasn't ready, we have to deal with it? F that.

I'm sure you've seen the poll here and on 2p2. 84% of us say we don't like the new update. Suck up your pride and rollback the software and release the new update AFTER you've fixed the problems. I'd love to see what argument you guys have to convince us that keeping this update is good. It's not like 50% of us said we don't like it. EIGHTY FOUR PERCENT say its awful. Do you realize what that means? 8 out of 9 people don't like it. fix it.

IMO the only thing that made you guys such a popular site was your graphics. It obviously wasn't because you have good customer service. Why would you change the only thing that you have better than every other site?

Tell your higher-ups to put a survey on the FTP client asking if they like the new update. When you realize so many people say it's ruining their poker experience maybe you'll wise up and rollback. Giving us a update that made the site worse is a kick in the nuts to all of us rake paying customers. I don't know what type of company would knowingly keep a decision when 84% of their consumers disapprove.

I just don't see why we have to suffer because you guys screwed something up. Myself and most likely a high % of your customers liked the old version of the cards. AT FULL SIZE. Why do we have to compromise and use 'small' cards or blurry cards? Give us back our REGULAR cards, at REGULAR size. IF ITS NOT BROKE DON'T FIX IT.

Love,
Jeffr8

P.S. - you guys owe me a $75 token for making me fold the nuts since your lag froze my client and made me time out. Thanks.

After the update I can't even log in anymore. The software crashes the second the log in screen pops up. From reading other forums, I know I am not the only person experiencing this problem.

PLEASE FIX THIS BUG ASAP!!!!!!

OK since you asked 4 it : http://pokerforums.fulltiltpoker.com/online-poker-post-823877.html#823877

I just pointed you to my intitial post because none of the issues have been resolved. Logging in is still a total pain, as in sometimes it works sometimes it hangs on the connected screen. And the lag is not just with just game animation. If it 'hangs' at the 'connected' screen I can still move that window around but it is very jerky and slow to respond, but any other window respons immediately, so its not that all my PC resources are tied up. Then IF I can log into the lobby, it often freezes while moving just between the various menus and tabs like 'lobby,' 'account', 'cashier,' so if highligting a submenu it takes a while to selcted it or move to another option or setting.

Also, if trying to access any link from the cashier that requires authentification the whole client freezes at the "please wait while we verify your account" stage. Just as with teh other problems it is only the game client that is effected and my PC still has plenty of resources available and everything else responds quite resonably. Even if I click on the taskbar tab of any full tilt window it immediately pops up, just in its frozen form! So as far as actully playing again, I haven't even tried that and will only attempt the 20k freeroll as I am certainly not risking any of my own $ as things stand right now.

The lag is horrible even with the newest updated patch today. I am on a dell inspiron 6000 with MS XP OS. I have 2 gigs ram (never had issues with before) my processor is 1.24 GHz...

I get not responding messages if i push a button too fast while its loading up. It is not wasting ram but acts like it is. I am also useing Norton which asked if i would allow it to connect and i said yes. However on the original update, not only was i asked about connecting but it seem like it wanted to add a permission ( or something ). I said cancel and I am unaware if that is an issue. I did uninstall it twice before patch came out today. I have not uninstall and restall the program since the patch. If you need more info please let me know. Thank you

Same story here. Handhistory is still broken even after i uninstalled ALL Adobe Products+FullTilt with reboots, reinstalled FullTilt, rebooted, let FullTilt install Adobe Flash and rebooted again. ( I think i rebooted more often and installed more software since the FTP patch than i did in the whole year since installing Vista rofl)
