All to often I wish I could show just one of my whole cards (of my choice) to my opponents. I very rarely show a hand, but I feel that if I had this ability I would be having much more fun messing with players.
One other thing I'd like:
All to often I find myself jumping to conclusions before any action has been made before me. I don't like the fact that it shows me my whole cards before it's my turn to play. I realize that this may slow down game play a little bit and you most definitely couldn't use this feature when doing 16 tables simultaneously, BUT wouldn't it be nice to make this an option for when you reached the final table or when you're over extending your bankroll on that 1 game. |

Well that might be good for you ... for me it's enough to have a Show / Muck hand after I bluff someone.
If a player showed me just one card or even bluffed me, I couldn't care less.
If that affects your play, you're a bad poker player. |

Take a sticky note and put it over your hole cards. When you are ready to see your cards, lift the sticky note. Sounds silly...and it is, but if that's what you need then go do it.
And what the hell would showing your cards before you make a move do when playing online? I hate that move in live games but it would just be comically pointless online. |

Perhaps OP (and others) would not be "affected", but instead are hoping that at least some of their opponents are that kind of "bad" player, who WOULD be affected by showing a single card (and making it a frustrating mystery for the next few hands at least -- especially when it's equally likely the show-er had say a horrible kicker with his Ace OR another Ace... or when the flop is 234 and only shows an Ace and the bad opponent wonders if there was a 5 kicker or if their 2-pair was good... etc.) |

Oh come on, even bad poker players won't stand and wonder "did he have a 5 ???" for the next 10 hands. They might even be relieved that you had an A and they had nothing and they could start playing tighter.

If it's a feature that will only affect/benefit just "some" players, I don't think it'll be added.
I mean this is just like "a linux version of FullTilt" ... for 2-5% of the players who want something like that, it's not worth developing. Compared to a feature like "Run it Twice" that would be useful for 50-60% of the players. |

If the devs have to choose, I hope they focus on making the "find a player" an actually DECENT buddy list, way before they tackle any "show one card/show folded cards" type of features.
But before all that, I hope they fix the "waiting list" so it gives a lot more freedom to the player, at the very least allowing you to DISPLAY the list (like the "registered in tournaments" feature) but hopefully a lot more functionality than it currently has. |
