Ok, I want to get my stats on officialpokerrankings to look nice. (I am trying to get rid of any negatives)
And I just noticed I am terrible at heads up.
I am looking at the $2 buy in non-turbo.
I'd like to know if there is any trick to these as most, if not all my opponents have been super aggressive. |

wait for top pair or better and let them shove all in, I'm pretty sure that's all you have to do to beat those games.

one thing you may have leaks in is your pushbotting game. that is, when the stacks are less than around 10BB deep. most people who don't play HU are way way too tight in these situations and it probably costs them a lot of money.

Yeah, HU is just all about aggression and straight-up reads. Read Collin Moshman's Heads-Up No Limit Hold Em if you still can't master it.

HU if a guy gets super aggressive, i get super tight... play hands with lots of possible outs like ak suited. or high pairs qq kk aa ..if he is passive pot bet him any chance you have... if he raises more then likely he has ace high or pair. and you should fold or call to see a flop re raising might put you in a world of hurt when a station raises.
there are 5 groups of hands rag high card.. high draw.. low draw.. high pr.. low pr ..and it seems he will have opposite the hand you have more times then not ..dont play gap unsuited connectors double gapped shouldbe tossed if you can help it ...watch for sets if you have two pairs they seem to hang together raise off or on the button half pot or full pot.. try not to call the BB or just check unless you have say ak suited and hit the nuts then try to get what you can the best way you can skow play it like yer hunting or afraid he will think he can bluff then you can nail him

For a serious note. I take my time in the beginning, develop reads, don't do anything crazy. I generally build a really tight image, then I just exploit the hell out of their weaknesses. I also have a knack for noticing when they change gears relatively quickly and get called a donk because I caught them loosening up before they realized they were caught.

HU play how your opponent isnt. If he's aggro you play tight and vice versa. You must be aggressive with your hands even if all you've done is hit a pair. Raising is the best thing to do HU to find out the strength of your opponents hand imo.

thanks everyone for the advice, but after talking to another player who plays almost exactly what I play, he convinced me HU wasn't worth my time and I will only lose more if I play it
