I have rakeback and as far as I know the Full Tilt Points(FTPs) have no value to me. If I use them, it affects my rakeback in a negative way. Has anyone with rakeback found a use for FTPs?

FTPs are worth up to 1/2 cent per point depending on how you spend them. Lets say you spend 2000 of them for something which is worth $10 to you.

Your rakeback hit is 27% of $10 = $2.70.

So you are getting something worth $10, and only paying $2.70.

Cool. Simple explanation and easy to understand. Thanks.

TDE's got it spot on.

When you have rakeback, points are worth less...but they're not worthless. They're worth 73% of what they would have been worth. But you make up WAY more than that in rake.

It's also same for all the cash bonuses that you accept and/or buy from the black card, Iron Man, or Academy Store, if they're tracked in the cashier. A $100 bonus that clears in ten $10 chunks will give you ten $2.70 rakeback hits, for a total of $27. You still come out "ahead" $73 - but it's generally better to buy tourney tix.

I'd go with worthless.

Unless you're racking up mega points (and therefore have a mega BR) you'll end up with little more than a nifty FTP ball cap. GOD how I want one of those... I mean they are so trendy and make me look so professional and all.

I can't even find a decent tourny buy in methodology to make the points worth a hoot.

For what it's worth, I spent 18K FTP's and 8K Academy Credits to buy in to 7 of the MiniFTOPS XVIII events, and got $155 in cashes out of them. Certainly not impressive by any means, but definitely better than letting all those points sit there and gather dust. As a fellow forumer aptly said, "money now is better than money later."
