| I'm noticing a lot of my cbets are getting raised or the villains are cbetting relentlessly in the early stages, way more than they can have the goods, so I'm trying to figure out the best way to combat this. Should I be raising more with my good hands for starters, maybe 5x BB in the first couple levels? Should I ease up on my cbetting % a bit and maybe be willing to get my stack in with TP decent kicker most of the time when my cbet is raised? Keep in mind it's early stages so you can't have much, if any, of a read on the villains, so it comes down to what the average player here is raising/cbetting with. |

The c-betting's gonna have a lot to do with the stakes you're playing. You have to watch the cbets in the micros, as nobody is afraid of anything at these levels. And no matter how dry and safe a board appears, there's a chance that the guy that called the 5x from LP has whatever he needed to hit the board.
Plus if you are playing the lower buy ins you may as well keep your PF raises around the 3xBB level because the amount really doesn't affect the call/fold option of most opponents. The avg. mindset here is either "I'm calling" or "I'm folding" regardless of how much it costs to do so. |
