My 2c worth.
I think Helmuth is a great tournament player, against other professionals. Phil has a great understanding of the game, knows the math as well as anyone and from what I've seen is a pretty good reader of players. However, Phil lives in a world of structure and finds it difficult to exist/perform outside of that structure. So, If he's holding KK he expects the play to go a certain way based on his knowledge of the game. If it doesn't go that way, he loses the plot and flips out. For instance, he will play the hand in such a way as to get rid of other players with crap hands. Unfortunately, Phil's definition of a crap hand and other players definition of a crap hand don't always gel.
I recall at the 2008 WSOP ME Phil lost or got pushed out of a good hand on two occasions by players with QT. His reaction was, shall we say, explosive. In short, Phil cannot handle events outside his realm of 'how to play NLHE'.
Finally, he is perhaps the most self-centered little chit I have ever seen. The similarities between Helmuth and a spoiled 2 year old are remarkable. He also has absolutely no sense of civility or common decency. Again, witness his 'apology' for his tirade to the player who beat him with QT in a hand. Phil ensured cameras were present and his explanation was "that poker is his life" rather than "I screwed up man, I apologize". In other words, it wasn't his fault.
Helmuth needs to spend more time on his wife's couch and less at the tables before he pops a blood vessel. |

Now about this durrrr challenge:
Is it true that the challenge is open for anyone but Phil Galfond?
I don't understand why it's open for David Benyamine for example, but not for Phil Galfond |

11 bracelets or 7.. I don't really think the number says anything about skills. My best friend screwed 16 girls and I only screwed 1, but I still believe I'm a better lover
