pokerking posted that Dwan had around 10 million dollars on his FTP account last december
so durrrr has lost over 40% of his bankroll in two months, ouch
this might be the end of the super run, i knew raising every pot wasnt smart |

wow, this boggles the mind.
so much money and the way he plays astonishes me.
my vote he will lose his current roll by May, but that's not saying he just cant just deposit another lazy 5 million. |

of course not, im just saying what poker-king once posted, if he has lost 4 million and he had 10 million, he has lost 40% right? oh well, what do i know, ive only studied math for over 18 years now
i do believe this might put him on tilt tho,
losing the current challenge against PA would leave him with at least 5.5 million in losses
this might be be end year for him |

Tom Dwan has been relatively unknown to casual poker players before this challenge I think.
Win or Lose he's paying for self advertisement.
Basically thrusting himself into the televised poker scene.
Would he be on the new High Stakes Poker season if he hadn't done this challenge?
This and the Phil Hellmuth Heads-Up challenge thing (which is where he got the idea I think, he got a lot of coverage after that).
He is buying a certain amount of media face time plain & simple.
That's my 2 cents anyway. |

Considering I believe the filming for the show was completed before the challenge was issued. |

Hes not - hes playing because he believes hes the best and wants to prove it, egotistical - maybe hes even doing it out of boredom. Hes an ONLINE player, he plays at home - i dont think he cares much for the cameras at all....why would he when he will always earn more online than he ever will live?
Of course he would be on HSP - hes one of the top 3 cash game players in the world right now, the show would not be complete without him...you do realise he may be hitting variance at the wrong time also?
Also - LOL at HU challange VS Hellmuth. Hellmuth is an awful cash game player, and his cash game skill level is dwarfed by Dwan - Tom would annihilate him, it wouldne even be a contest. |
