|
|
There is a local bar that has sit and gos pretty regularly that are 10 buy in and of the 14 people playing 3 including my self and my friend who told me about the game know anything about poker. My first thought is hell yeah soft game.
Heres the problem the structure is crazy you start with 40 chips with 1/2 blinds but the blinds go up every time some one goes out and then once down to 3 they go up each orbit and are capped at 10/20. goes from 2/4 to 4/8 to 5/10 to 10/20
Winner gets the money seccond gets there buy in back. YOU DONT PLAY HEADS UP. Whoever has the most chips once the 3rd place person busts wins.
Interested to here strategy ideas for a game like this. |

| Maybe I'm reading this incorrectly, but wouldn't the blinds cap after 4 KOs with the progression you listed? |

| yes but if 6 people start then 4kos never happens but they still bring the blinds up to 10/20. uess i should say that there can be any where from 6-11 people starting the sit and go |

As soft as it is, I say skip it.
Sounds like lotto to me. |

This. Unless you just like playing at the pub. Then:
slightly above average hand= shove.
reasonable hand if the blinds are high and you are the bb=call a shove
top 5-10% hand not in the blinds= call a shove when you are not in the blinds.
Thats just a thought. Obviously I have no evidence to back this up. |
