ive played in tournaments where you have rebuys and addons. when the tournaments started some of the players already had bought their addons. how do i do this ? Question

Most rebuy tourneys and all of the ones offered here allow you to "rebuy" your buy in before the tourney starts. This essentially doubles your stack while also doubling your entry fee. If you want to do this, click the rebuy button in the top left corner of the tourney window. You may do a similar "add on" after several levels as well. The add on is almost always a good deal, something like 2000 chips instead of 1500, but at the same price.

I think you are mistaken. Rebuy is just that, if you get knocked out within a certain time like "the first level", you can rebuy and start again. Then most re-buy tournies do allow an add-on at the end of the rebuy time period.

Actually Vectorspace is totally correct. You can rebuy before the tournament starts ( at least when the rebuy minimun equals the starting stack ). It's a common strategy that gives you an edge over players that don't do this.
