Hi guys !

I was playing HORSE, and during the omaha H/L session, I didn't understand why I didn't get half the high pot on this hand :

Is this a bug ?

its not a bug, its o8 rules.

you didn't get half the high pot because you didnt have the best high hand.
villian had a better straight (6high)

You have to play the A5 in your hand which limits you to a 5-high straight. Your opponent plays the 45 in his hand with the 2,3,6 on the board to make a 6-high straight. Thus he wins the high, you each split the low with the wheel.

FWIW, nice betting throughout on this hand. Flopped nut low, with 2nd nut straight and flush draw + back door flush draw... I'm fairly mediocre at PLO8 but I gotta believe that you were right to get as much as possible in on flop and turn here.

That's a tough river for you, you couldn't have played it any better though, you wanted that pot as big as possible cause you had a big chance at a scooper or getting 3/4.

I'm not used to PLO8 either, I just try to learn and to play every game the best I can. I'm slowly building my bankroll, and I like to try something else than Hold'em. Thank you for your comments Wink
