OK, I want to get this right......
When I enrolled in the academy, I had approx $50 in my acct. Unfortunatly, it has dwindled.
For the pro play, do I have to increase my roll 25% of $50, or what's left in my account. I have no tourney $, just a few bucks.
Thanks

If you restart the BR challenge, it locks in your 'new' bankroll. I think.

When you say restart.. what exactly do you mean? If I have completed it once? Or log on and make it my active challange?

LOL good question phil
I've got a similar one. Heres the situation.
Started the challange---withdrew 35% of my BR---lost 30% of what was left.
Now have built it up to almost where I withdrew to.
Today I won 23% of my existing br. and have increased it by 40% since the low point.
I have also participated in BAPs where player transfers were involved both ways.
Now do I have to get it up 25% past the amount before I withdrew or somewhere else??
I wish they would give the target BR when you sign up and whenever it changes.

I really love this challange and have completed it several times. The pro play is IMO the only challange that is worth my time to try and complete.
The others are just ways for FT to increase revenue.

When I said restart, I meant pick another challenge and then come back to BR management. I think your "BR" is the BR you have when you activate the challenge, so it changes each time you activate it.

You should see my academy page, LOL. I have completed 1 challange 10 x. All the rest are completed except the pro plays. LMAO One unreasonable one is the pre flop play that requires you to play 100 consecutive hands, fold or raise, but what's the point other than to generate rake, to do it 5 times????

Didn't know that, or I would have doubled as I just won a chunk! I had a different challange open! I know now, thanks!

Phil, the point of 100 hands of raise-or-fold is to get you to STOP LIMPING!!!! It's a terrible leak. It gets you to fold wimpy suited connectors or play them for a raise. And raising with 98s isn't necessarily bad - you can buy blinds, or start building a huge pot when you hit.

And I don't think it's a secret that the point of all these challenges is to keep you engaged and generate rake....it's not coincidence that the higher AP tasks take more hands/tournaments = rake to complete.

Honestly, I know the lessons/challanges are to teach better skills, but since I play at the micro level, a lot of these challanges have cost me. There are things I wouldn't normally do. But I made the decisions, so no one to blame. There are a few challanges I have tried at higher stakes that have worked. I've been grinding the academy challanges for a few months and so far I have enough points for a keychain and a half! But I'm going for the 5,000 AP. If I get rakeback, I'll have to change my plans.

QFT
Phil, the way I look at it-and this is because I use the Academy credits to buy ftp's, in 5k chunks- is that if you fail, or certain tasks cost you a few nickels, over the long haul, it's win-win. More like win-win-win during happy hour or take 2.

Do tokens count as part of the bankroll?

Asking myself the same question - thought I increased my bankroll 25% by playing Matrix $26 SNGs, but no credit yet. Not sure why tokens would count bu not T$. Anyone know?
