| It's taking me awhile to checkraise someone on a semi bluff, so far I've just been unlucky in the sense that I can't flop the required board. Any tips out there for picking the best and fastest spot to do this? Thanks |

9-handed non-cap games, std. or deep stack.
You need as many early-position opportunities as possible.
If still frustrated, look @ the <%plrs/flop> column, and sit in on the tighter games. Or keep jumping tables, until u find a couple villains with rather aggro post-flop styles. |

Suited connectors and suited 1 gappers are the easiest. If you're just wanting to get the task done, and be prepared to possibly lose a few hands, play any 2 suited cards. Also, shove on the semi-bluff if you want that little extra incentive for the opponent to fold.
I've said it before, but if I'm trying to knock out a challenge, $ isn't a factor. I lost 2 buyins trying to get this task done on my 10th time through it. I do these at micros because of that. I've lost plenty of buyins trying to do other tasks as well. Challenge sessions are not my regular poker sessions. |

Thanks for the replys guys. Yea I hate how challenges effect my play. When I activate Allen's mid stack challenge, I play ultra tight to keep my stack in the 25-40 bb range. Then I also play tight on the bubble to make it in the money, when normally I push pretty hard with a hand like AQ or AJ.
My cash game challenges have dried up little, all I have left are tasks that say 'make money' like the pro plays in Jenn Harmon's, value betting, and micro stacks. I miss the pre flop, leaks, and position ones. they were credit atm's : ( |

I only have Power Of Position and Micro Stakes left for cash game challenges. And I don't really like either of those. Plus the credits are pretty minimal.
I think I'm done with the tourney related ones for awhile though. I'm down about $150 for the last 2 weeks specifically for Hansen's and Lindgren's. I would usually make back what I put in on tourneys in the cash games but not that big of a loss. It wouldn't be that bad, but I'll get 1 or 2 tasks from finishing and I go nuts trying to get it done. The only thing I haven't done is play above my BR. But I'm 1/2 way through each one (done them 6x's and 3x's) and that's enough for me. I really do hate tourneys though. Always have. |

| I haven't tried Gus or Erick. I use to be all about tournaments, minimal cash games but have recently flipped, there's nothing like spending hours on a tournament just to miss the money (and not finish any challenges) I'm mostly a microstakes player. I'm trying to get into a position of doing the iron man medals challenges. The .02/.05 cap nl games during happy hour are good for getting at least 50 ftp a day. |
